.- Think of good reasons to learn this new language by asking yourself questions like: Why do I want to learn it? What do I need to learn? What advantages would this give to me? Analyze your answers and set up specific goals.

.- Study English day by day, it is much more better to learn it this way than to spend too many hours sporadically. It is like a sport. If you practice this gradually you will keep healthy and in good physical condition  but if you  do it at any time  from time to time, the results will not be the same.

.- Choose the didactic material properly. There are dozens of material. However, you need to be analytical and select it according to your age and the school you are in. It is not the same the material specially designed for elementary school students than the one designed for highschool ones. Be sure you use authentic didactic material to practice  grammar, writing, reading, listening, and speaking skills as well.

.- Vary your schedule often, do not make it a routine. Since that could become boring and would discourage you to continue and quit. What I mean is you should study grammar from 4 to 5 pm three days a week for instance, but  next week  you should change grammar to listening ,  a week later  you should change listening to speaking, and so on.

.- Practice with people  who are learning  English like you. It could be funny and delighting to communicate in the new language. Take advantage of the applications you have at hand nowadays and interact with native speakers.  I am sure it will be a challenge for you, but believe me, the more you try  the more you will improve.  Do never focus on your mistakes all of us even native speakers make them!

.- Find out some topics you are fond of. It is easier to learn from something you are interested in. See movies, watch series, listen to the news, listen to your favorite music, all of this will help you to get familiar with common expressions and vocabulary.

.- Put the grammar you are learning into practice. It has been demonstrated that isolated grammar does not make you speak. Think of the situations where you can put  it  into practice and do it! Always try to use grammar in real situations.

.- Record your voice and check your pronunciation and intonation,  listen  to yourself and compare with native speakers’ recordings. It  will amazingly help you to acquire  good English.

.- Use the internet, there are dozens of web sites and applications where you can download activities to practice the target language. Do not waste your time chatting in Spanish, do it in English! It will give you the chance to improve your English considerably!
